As an exercise, read through local newspapers, online news sources (e.g., CNN, NBC, or ABC), and popular magazines (e.g., People, Time, or National Geographic). Choose one article from a newspaper, one from an online source, and one from a magazine; then complete the following assignment:

1. Cite the authors, the title or webpage of the article, and the date/year/source of the article.

2. Identify the descriptive statistics included in the article. Were the statistics appropriately described in the article? Explain.

3. Explain if the descriptive statistics used in the article supported the arguments made in it. Were the descriptive statistics misleading? Explain.
