The Board of Governors led by a chairman . who manage the Fed's staff, works in Fed board meetings, and testifies before Congress when called to do so and as required by law. The chairman must be elected from one of the seven sitting board members and attend a four-year term that is renewable. The other members serve one, nonrenewable fourteen-year term.
