You will represent the plaintiff. Plaintiff, Sheldon slipped on what appeared to be spilled cottage cheese and fell while shopping at a large grocery store called Food Company. Plaintiff alleges in this complaint that he sustained serious injuries. Defendant Food alleges in its Answer to the Complaint that Sheldon gently fell and that his claims about injuries are either non-existent or exaggerated.

Assume the case is being heard in California. 

1. What are the different tools of discovery? Explain the purpose of each.

2. What discovery tools would you use on behalf of your client. Why would the tools you noted help your client's case?

3. Note at least two substantive questions you would ask the other party and what tool would you use to ask these questions.

4. Note at least two items that you would want the other party to produce. How would you request and receive such items.
