Developmentally Appropriate Practices Philosophy statement that will sum up all of the elements of an "ideal" early childhood program. 

Look back at our historical influences and theory. You must discuss the theoretical basis, principles, and best practices for each of your ideas. Things that should be researched (textbook and internet) and discussed in your statement are:

• Including all Children- Explain the importance of meeting the educational needs of all children which includes children with special needs.
• Professionalism and reflection as a tool for growth- Why is it important to interact with colleagues that you work with? What does "keeping current in the field" mean? Why is this important? What is professional development and why is it important? How does education or continuing education play a role in a teacher's professional development?

It is important that you not only explain your viewpoints about the items above but that you also provide your reasons for your point of view.  What matters is that you support your ideas with early childhood education theory.
