Each student shall write and submit at least a five (5) page paper on a Multinational Company, Transnational Company, or Corporate / Global Giant. Students are free to decide which one they want to research on.

The content of the paper and presentation shall be based on:

a) Brief history

b) Number of employees

c) Headquarters and extent of global operation / scope of business (other parts of the world it operates in)

d) Net worth (profit or wealth)

e) Products and Programs, i.e., kind of business, goods, or services offered and a very important corollary point (or test of this project) is convincingly stating the specific role these company products and programs play in the globalization process; that is how these products and programs make the globalization process possible; or stating the specific roles that these company products and programs play in making the world a small place or how they make the "global village" concept feasible.

f) Some of the general criticisms leveled against the company

The presentation shall be done on the scheduled day as indicated on the syllabus, and the papers are due on the same day.

A suggested list of some of these companies and corporations is posted on Folio; students are not by any means restricted to that list.

Citation of Sources and Works Cited

Students are free to use any style of citation they are familiar with and the paper must also have a works cited page.
