Written Component Each summary should briefly, and in your own words, state the purpose of the study, methods the researcher(s) used, study findings, study conclusions, and your perceptions of the research. Each summary should be short, and should review the article you selected. Each summary should include the following, in narrative form: • Complete reference for the selected article in APA format (assignments missing this component WILL NOT BE GRADED and a zero will be given as this is the only way I can locate the article you are reviewing). • Discussion of any key theories or definitions discussed in the Introduction • Purpose(s) of the study • Methodology used to investigate the question o Participants o Measures & Procedures (what was measured?, how?) § Results (what did the researchers find?) § Conclusions (i.e., given the results, what did you learn from the article? What conclusions can we draw from the results?) § Implications (i.e., what implications do the results have on our practice and on the theory?, how does this apply to the real world?)
