A) One of your assignment this week is to find a pre-existing survey on any research topic/subject of your choice that may be found on the Internet, whether in a dissertation or thesis, or government study, or any other scholarly sources (Like the PEW Center, VERA Institute, NIJ, NIC, etc....). One you find the survey questionnaire, assess it by answering the following questions:

Does the survey questionnaire have a title? Name the title.

Are there instructions provided on the questionnaire?

Is the questionnaire divided in parts? Name the parts

How many questions are there on the questionnaire?

Write the question items that are nominal or ordinal or interval.

Make sure when answering these above mentioned-questions/items please write the question first and then provide the answer.  Also, make sure you also type you name on your response/submission. 

B.     Ethics in statistics are very important during data representation as well. There are a number of possible ways in which unethical behavior can arise in statistics, yet we rarely talk about these. We do talk about ethical issues in research and what and researchers should steer clear from. 

a) Explain some of things that researchers should statistically avoid.

b) What are specific ethical issues that must be address when compiling the survey instrument. What ethical requirements must be acknowledges in the survey (or interview or any other design).
