_{This is a flexible assignment where you need to write up a proposal for a six-sigma/lean project.  If possible, I would like a real project, with real data. I will allow both small group and individual projects.  However, I realize that is not possible for all student. You should define what you plan to do in each stage (Define, Measure, Analysis, Improve, and Control). The write up should be between 1 – 3 pages.}

_{The project can be of several types:}

1. _{A project you are working on with your current job.}
2. _{A new project from your organization}
3. _{A proposed project.}

_{For the in class session I expect you to have a one page set of notes about your project.  We will go around the room and each student will spend about 5 minutes discussing their project.  You must post a 1 – 3 page writeup.}
