Each discussion will include one post & a minimum of 3 responses to your classmates. Each discussion should be a minimum of 200 words & each reply to a classmate should be a minimum of 100 words.

Preparing for interviews takes effort, initiative, organization, and good time-management. As someone who has interviewed students, counselors, professors, deans, etc., it can be evident who rushed, who turned something in at the last second, who put in the work, who researched the position, and who came in very prepared. Some of the recommendations to prepare for an interview include: bringing 2 pens, bringing a notebook, having questions prepared, bringing copies of your resume, dressing professionally, and practicing some of the common questions and answers beforehand.

• How do you prepare for an interview?
• What are some of the common interview questions (Links to an external site.) that are difficult for you to answer?
• What are some of the questions you might want to ask during an interview?
• How do you research the company or organization ahead of time?
• What do you want to make sure that you do during an interview?
• What is the hardest or most difficult part of an interview for you?
• What strategies are you aware of that can help you better prepare for interviews?
• If you have conducted interviews before, what are some of the common mistakes you have seen?
