For this Lab you will create a Visual Mix of one song.
1. Choose one song from the list on the back of this page.
2. Listen to the song several times. (If you do not own the song, you can listen to
1:30 on iTunes for free). It is best to listen with headphones.
3. Create a Visual Mix on a piece of paper or poster board, 8 ½ x 11 inches. You
may wish to use software (such as Inspiration, PhotoShop, etc.) to make it neater
and more visually appealing.
4. Turn in your Lab at the beginning of class on the Due Date.
Guidelines:
• Represent each instrument or vocal with it’s own bubble or circle.
• Relative loudness in the mix is shown by size of each circle.
• Relative frequency range of each instrument shown by placing vertically.
• Show stereo positioning by placing each circle left, center, or right.
• If the song changes dramatically, draw the chorus.
