Assignment: For this assignment you will choose a local early learning community organization that provides programs / services to children and families. You will pretend to be a member of that organization (you can assume the role of Executive Director,

Board member, staff, parent, member at large, etc.). In your role you will prepare a presentation about your organization that will be submitted to me (a philanthropist notorious for funding community organizations that are committed to improving the quality of life for children and their families). Please use your real name (Sam) and the real name of the community organizations as well as the real names of any pre-existing programs, services, etc. you can create / make up the names of new initiatives / programs / services you are proposing as well as any potential partners.

Your presentation is a funding pitch and is to be no more than 5 minutes in length. You will be introducing me to your organization and requesting funding. I fund a lot of community early learning initiatives in the Ottawa and surrounding area and I am always looking for new project and programs to fund. Please keep in mind, I get a lot of requests for funding and you will want to make your presentation stick out and capture my attention and interest.
