Developing a strategy for your firm is a key part of success
in the StratSim environment. Your strategy will serve as
your firm’s “roadmap” throughout the simulation, and
should consist of a vision for the company along with a
framework for realizing the vision. The strategy diamond
provides a framework for defining your strategy based on
five elements: Arenas, vehicles, differentiators, economic
logic, and staging. See the section on “Managing for
Success” in the StratSim manual for descriptions of these
elements.
Provide a mission statement for your company, then use the elements of the strategy diamond
to define your strategy. You may choose to address these in PowerPoint presentation format
or in a maximum of two pages.
