This discussion may help you determine which profession is right for you.In the content folder SPV 228.A02.20FA Supplemental Materials, I included within the Unit 1 folder a separate folder into which I added the scopes of practice and codes of ethics for both professions; all documents are from American Speech-Language Hearing Association and American Academy of Audiology. This information is reiterated in Humes & Bess, Ch. 4 and 5, pp. 123-164. Please read these documents and answer the following questions:

(a) How do the scopes of practice differ between audiologists and speech-language pathologists (SLP)?

(b) How do the scopes of practice relate to the education of students in each profession? (In Unit 1 Supplemental Materials folder, there is an article on the education of audiology students that you may wish to use.)

(c) How are these two professions similar?
