In preparation for this assignment, students are to select a current event article that is related to their selected policy for analysis. Students are expected to create a 2-3 paper that analyzes a social welfare issue and policy based on a social problem presented in a recent newspaper or news magazine article. The paper should clearly connect the events of the article with the social policy selected for analysis in module 14. 

The paper should include an accurate and complete description of the current event article, background necessary to give your audience to understand it, discussion of the social problem, a description and extent of the problem, implications for social welfare policy and services, and the relationship to social work. Include a copy (or link) of the article with the paper in the references using APA 7th edition.
