“Depression is a common mental disorder. Globally, more than 300 million people of

all ages suffer from depression.” (WHO, 2019).

Depression is also described as “the leading cause of disability worldwide, and is a

major contributor to the overall burden of disease” (WHO, 2019).

Produce a 1500-word essay to consider approaches/frameworks to health and sustainable

development goals (SDG’s) in relation to diagnosis and management of depression.

You must structure your essay to address the following 3 questions:

a part in the perception of depression, potential causes and the

diagnosis/treatment of depression in the UK.
