Writing

Complete the assigned readings and review class notes, discussions, and videos.  Read the assignment carefully and review the rubric attached before developing your statement.

Below is the description for the Teaching Philosophy Statement. This assignment is designed to encourage reflection and growth, not simply a paper written once and submitted. You may approach this however you'd like, but try to keep a "developmental" element in mind as you work on it.

You may format the statement itself by taking each question one at a time and answering below it in complete sentences. Alternatively, if you would rather you may address the questions by developing  a more "formal" narrative (like a short paper). The most important element is that you make it clear which element you are answering in which statement.

Part of your grade is including all elements, and you must identify where each element is answered in your response in one way or another. Failure to do this will leave it up to my interpretation, in which you risk me not recognizing a response as connected to one of the elements.

Please refer to the rubric below to get a sense of how I will be grading this assignment.
