Taking the information you have about your industry and business and translating that into good strategic choices is both an art and a science. The more you understand about your business and the strategic models, the better your choices.

Identify three strategic objectives that would be useful in achieving strategic success. Then explain how the following could be leveraged to achieve each of the identified objectives:

• Porter’s five generic strategies
• Alliances
• Partnerships
• Mergers and acquisitions
• Vertical and horizontal integration
