 Review the Chapter 2 presentation and reading the second chapter in the textbook. Page 33 (and on) of your textbook introduces you to the beginning of the Industrial Revolution and the Agrarian Revolution and although not specifically mentioned in your book, the presentation addresses the concept of Primate Cities. Using some of the information in the presentation and considering the long-lasting economic success of many large cities in Europe, jot down some ideas about why both revolutions had to have occurred in sync. That is, taking what you learned from the presentation, what could happen if both revolutions did not occur at the same time? What did we learn about the effects of a primate city on the rest of Europe in ancient history? I want to see that you are looking for cultural, social, geo-political cause-and-effect here!
