• Discuss the limitations of Reconstruction and possible alternative methods for reconstructing the South more equitably after the Civil War (CO#1)

Based on your readings on Reconstruction, respond to the following:

• How might US history have been different if, during Reconstruction, the plantations of the South had been divided, and ex-slaves had been given plots of land and the means to farm them?
