Assignment IV: Final Assignment Part I Persistence Project
Persistence: firm continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition. This semester we will discuss what it takes to thrive in a new environment, such as attending classes in person. Persistence goes by many names (creator mindset, determination, etc.), and it looks different on different people, but we need it to succeed, especially as newcomers. For this final a ro ect I would like ou to write a profile of someone who showed obvious persistence in a new environment. If you know this individual personally, you can gather information by asking the questions below in a personal interview. If you do not know the individual (such as a celebrity), you can conduct online research. Write a 3-4 page profile/biography of the person, special attention to the period when the individual showed persistence. Be specific about the ways in which the person overcame obstacles. Examples include: a relative who first immigrated to the United States, an industry pioneer, an innovator in the arts, a record-breaking athlete, an online college graduate, etc. Use reliable sources and MLA format. Personal Interview Questions: 1. Tell me a little about yourself. What is your background, and what is your life like now? 2. In which period of your life did you show the most persistence? 3. Please provide some of the obstacles you faced at this time. How specifically did you overcome them? 4. Did you ever feel like giving up? How did you work through those feelings? 5. Did your plans ever change during this time? How did you remain motivated during the changes? 6. How does this period in your life motivate or stay with you now? If you could tell your younger self anything then, what would it be? This paper is DUE Monday, May 23, 2022 by i1:59PM EST on Blackboard. 
Means of Assessment This project comprises 25% of your final grade for the course and will be assessed as follows:

Organization 
Grammar & Sentence Structure 
A clear overview of the paper and a thesis statement including main and supporting ideas  The essay is logically structured, coherent, and the arguments are easy to follow. Strong synthesis of scholarly sources or interview totes are referenced using: MLA format. 
Proper use of grammar, absence of spelling errors, and correct s tax.
