Since introducing the 1st generation iPhone series, steady progress and significant improvements have given birth to the 14th generation series named iPhone Pro. iPhone was well received in the international market, and iPhone sales helped Apple surpass its rival Nokia Company as the leading mobile phone manufacturer with the highest annual revenue in 2011. The iPhone was also well received in its domestic market, America, which forms the largest market share of Apple Company. Other regions that include a significant part of the market for the iPhone series are Europe, China, Japan, and Asia pacific. The regions are the five top regions in terms of market share for the iPhone.
