A career in sales may offer more options than you realize. Even if you do not foresee a career in sales, you can still certainly benefit from enhancing your selling skills. Review the various sales careers discussed in Chapter 1 (pp. 11-16) of the textbook. Respond to the following prompts:

Of the sales careers discussed in the chapter, what type of sales position would be of most interest to you? Explain. (4 pts.)

Identify what you would consider to be the biggest benefit and the most significant drawback to a career in sales? (4 pts.)

Discuss at least three reasons you believe you would be an effective salesperson. (3 pts.)

Discuss at least three potential challenges you may encounter in a sales role OR three challenges you have already faced in a sales position. (3 pts.)

Based on your self-assessment responses to #3 and #4, discuss at least two selling skills or effective salesperson characteristics you would like to develop or enhance during the course of the semester. (4 pts.)
