Identify an important cultural discourse within the first season of Friday Night Lights. Describe how that discourse (not merely the plot) is built through narrative, genre, and formal elements like camera style, mise-en-scene, character coding and performance, etc. You may use one or two episodes that exemplify your arguments, or pull from the entire season.
