Assemble all work to date into a portfolio in Power BI and report on overall findings, data correlations, and
actionable insights.
This capstone will be assessed somewhat differently than other courses you have taken online at SNHU. There
are two separate components that will both be submitted in this module. They operate together to comprise the
whole capstone experience and are not assessed separately.
Component 1: Portfolio
In Capstone Scenario One, you are hired as a systems specialist for a company that has businesses located
throughout the country. Your task is to analyze the provided data sets, make correlations, and provide insights
and visualizations. This was completed in Modules One, Two, Three, Four, and Six.
In Capstone Scenario Two, your focus will be on the company's infrastructure and security of personal
information. You will analyze their existing systems and make recommendations for updates. This was done in
Module Five.
Before submitting Capstone Component 1: Portfolio, be sure to complete the seventh element, which is the
executive-level report. This component has not been addressed in previous modules.
Capstone Component 2: Professional Program and Self-Reflection
For this reflection, you will report on your journey through the MIS program of studies. Think about what did or
did not work well as you progressed through the courses. Refer to the specific prompts in the Final Project
Guidelines and Rubric document.
You will be evaluated on both components as a unit in determining whether you have demonstrated proficiency
in each outcome. Your work is expected to meet the highest professional standards. Refer to the Sample
Portfolio document as a guide.
As you progress through your project, consider how you may present this in a business setting. In Module Eight,
you will create a video presentation of your portfolio and your findings.
