Refer to the “Greenberg-Wind-Currents+WaterLevels” document used in class. 

(a) Use the "Van Dorn formula" for wind stress given in Sorenson’s book (for example) and estimate the wind speed that corresponds to the 15 dynes/sq. cm wind stress in the Greenberg document.

 (b) Write a program to simulate u and v velocities and water levels for the 400km by 800 km rectangular domain under the influence of uniform northerly and easterly wind stresses as described in the “Greenberg-Wind-Currents+WaterLevels” document. Compare your results to Figures 9 and 10 and Tables 1 and 2 in that document. Prepare plots of flow velocities (arrow plots) for the whole domain for t = 15 hours and t = 100 hours.

(c) What would happen at the southwest corner if the same wind were blowing along the diagonal from the northeast corner to the southwest corner. Make water level plots for 15 hours.
