Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the matter with the rest of the group. While I agree that anthropogenic causes are the root of the natural devastation you have described-polluted oceans and the extinction of wildlife-I don't believe that Earth may ever "return to its pristine state." As we learned in the lecture on ocean circulation, deep water in the thermohaline circulation system can bury carbon dioxide for centuries and we may not see the full effects of our damage to the environment in the immediate time we are in. As I read other responses I also see this echoed in the posts by our peers. More must definitely be done to maintain our planet habitable and that will require the entire global community to do their part!
