These two models perform data compression , multiplexing , routing , definition of a signal's electrical characteristics , email , error detection and end-to-end flow control functions. List the OSI model and TCP/IP protocol suite, match and explain the functions with the appropriate layers. [20 marks] Section B [60 marks] Answer ALL questions.   1.   Generate the Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) codeword for the data bits 1110 1011 0101 and a pattern 1001010. Obtain the CRC check bits using base 2 method on the sender side and check if the receiver detects an error. Show your work and clearly indicate the final codeword. [15 marks]   2.  You work for a small bakery company with approximately 200 employees. Scattered around the company are a number of separate computer workstations/hosts that perform word processing, spreadsheet operations, market analysis and wireless access for customers. Your boss has asked you to consider installing some form of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) to support computer and network operations.   a.  Suggest and describe a type of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) together with its network topology that is suitable to support the computer and network operations for the employees and customers. List and locate the equipments support (hubs, servers) that might need for the network operations. [25 marks]                                                                                               b.  This small bakery company has a network address of 192.168.4.0/24. It requires a number of separate networks for its bakery which to be used by its computer workstations/hosts. List down the network addresses, subnet masks, host addresses range, number of usable hosts network and broadcast networks. Show your work and clearly assign the addresses to the related computer workstations/hosts and network equipments in 3(a). [20 marks]
