One of the first things we discussed in the course was how to properly summarize data in order to get more useful information from a large source or sample. What is a hobby, interest, talent, or skill you have or have interest in where it would be useful or informative to have some summary statistics? 2. Another major topic we learned about was how to collect data and perform a study, whether observational or experimental. If you had the resources to perform such a study, what question would you seek to answer and how would you choose your sample, type of study, and implement it? 1 3. Confidence intervals allow us to estimate the location of an unknown parameter with a fairly high degree of accuracy. What is a hobby, interest, talent, or skill you have or have interest in where it would be useful or informative to construct a confidence interval for the parameter? 4. Similarly to confidence intervals, hypothesis tests allow us to check a claim about a mean or proportion and conclude whether to accept said claim. What is a hobby, interest, talent, or skill you have or have interest in where it would be useful or informative to conduct a hypothesis test for the parameter? 5.
