Describe three (3) of the many (there are at least six) aspects of funding for healthcare in Canada that have been reviewed in the slide decks and lectures. Examples of these are: Federal Health Transfers, Direct health care funding for specific groups, or Provincial & Territorial Direct Health Care. You can chose whatever three (3) you would like to talk about.

2) Identify one benefit of each of the aspects of funding that you have chosen.

3) Compare the aspects of funding (and the benefits associated with these) that you have identified with those of a different country. You may wish to use a country you are very familiar with, or to choose a different one to research and compare. Identify how Canadian health care funding – and the benefits of that funding – differ from those in the other country you have chosen for contrast.

For example, in Canada the only current and consistent way to pay for additional healthcare costs is through taxes; how would costs be covered in a different country if costs were to go up 30%, 40% or even 50%? You may want to consider the impact of COVID-19 on health care budgets, and how countries are coping with such significant increases in costs.
