of nuclear import and export. You decide to study histone movement into the nucleus. You have found a small molecular inhibitor of Ran that you can feed to cells, as you're observing them, that instantaneously shuts down the activity of Ran:
a). First describe experimentally how we would visualize the histones.
b). Where would you expect to find newly made histones in the minutes after adding this Ran inhibitor? What about hours after Ran inhibitor addition? Explain your reasoning.
