Pick a piece of music (your choice) and describe
what you hear.
Are there any singers, or Is it instrumental?
What instruments do you recognize?
What Is the style, or genre of the music?
Do you hear any patterns, or form to the music?
How does the music change, or progress through
time (from beginning to end)?
This should be a one-to-two page paper (around
300 words) and should include:

1. The name of the piece of music (or song).

2. The name of the performer(s)

3. If there it a song, the name of the singer.

4. The date of the recording.

5. The music publisher (or record label).

6. Each Listening Activity Journal is a 300-
word (one to two pages) review, and must
be submitted in a format compatible with
Microsoft Word.
