1) a) Urbanization can be defined as movement of people from the rural areas to the now modernized, urban areas. This movement of people to urban areas leads to the growth of cities given the number of people moving to such areas in such of better livelihoods. With the growth of cities, there needs to be transportation to and from such areas. This then calls for the urban transportation in terms of the network or connection to such areas as well as provision of various means of getting to these areas. This then makes it easy for people in the urban area to commute (Benna, 2018).
