Consider the organization you work for or an organization with which you are familiar

During my holidays, I work at an NGO named Grapeyard Children's Center. The organization offers children the opportunity to improve their living standards by helping their parents get better income sources, offer them free education, and find sponsors who can pay for their basic needs. The organization focuses on absolute low-income families. My supervisor is the manager of the organization. During my work schedules, she is in charge of giving me duties and ensuring I reach the standards expected. Technological trends have helped the organization to communicate with its field officers effectively. It has also helped the organization effectively keep records of children and families involved in the program.

IT technology has disrupted the organization by changing its culture. Before the implementation of Information technology in the organization, record-keeping was difficult. As a result, the process of realizing resources for the children was longer. However, it is now easier for the organization to distribute resources since there is continuous evaluation of the needs of children and how they have been distributed. The disruption made the staff motivated and focused on achieving the organizational goals. These led to providing quality services to the economy, and more children can benefit from the program. Information technology requires people to change their practices and operation after implementation (Turban, Pollard & Wood, 2018).

IT is governed by principles that guide its users. The principles focus on the relationship of people globally, roles of the system, training, and visualization. These principles help an organization effectively maintain a good work environment even as they communicate digitally (Vance, 2009). An organization needs to ensure that it adopts an effective communication system that will protect its hackers' information. Hackers can access sensitive information online, putting the organization at great risk. Information technology enables organizations to be effective, fast, and more productive.
