Theory development in nursing is described as a significant part of the nursing education initiated to enhance the knowledge of the practice. Theories in nursing usually set out a way of understanding the wonder guide intellectual development of the science applied in the nursing profession using research. Also, as practicing nursing, I achieved theory development by realizing it was a learned effort that is searched for systematically (Kaakinen et al., 2018). Moreover, I learned that a nurse methodically comes up with a nursing theory and distributes it for the nursing society to analyze and contest it. In addition, it engages in a procedure that is crucial to the enhancement of theory development. Furthermore, this will make my nursing practice easier since I will have the necessary information to understand the processes applied in theory development.

            There are four major concepts of selected nursing theories: person, health, nursing, and environment. A person is the receiver of clinical care by the nurse and usually consists of patients, families, groups, and communities. Moreover, health is described as the well-being of the person and their experiences when receiving treatment (Kyngas, Mikkonen & Kaariainen, 2019). Also, it might have contrasting meanings for each individual, healthcare ambiance, and the medical care practitioner. Thirdly, nursing provides care by incorporating characteristics, aspects, and actions on behalf of the patient. In addition, nursing aims to enhance the well-being of patients. Lastly, the environment is described as the factor that affects the patient and consists of both positive and adverse conditions.

The concepts have equipped me as a practicing nurse to know that the patient is usually the main focus when it comes to healthcare and should be taken care of accordingly. Also, they help me understand the reason and part the concepts play in the healthcare surroundings. For instance, as a practicing nurse, I can attend to cancer patients in a treatment center, integrating nursing concepts on how to give them the required medical assistance (Kyngas, Mikkonen & Kaariainen, 2019). The ideas to my nursing practice will influence the sense of identity of my profession and understand the particular contributions that we as nurses make.

The components of the nursing theories include concepts, definitions, relational statements, and assumptions. Concepts are integrated to assist, define or mark a phenomenality, and they are usually words or terms that pinpoint, explain and establish structure and boundaries for suggestions. On the other hand, definitions, unlike concepts, are used to transmit the ordinary meaning of the ideas of a theory (Dewing, McCormack & McCance, 2021). Moreover, relational statements describe the relationship between ideas and are usually the set that binds concepts together. Assumptions, unlike relational views, are described as approved authenticity and based on ethics and beliefs.

Furthermore, these concepts will assist me as a nurse to prepare myself to echo the assumptions and nursing values to explain nursing hence increasing my level of knowledge. In addition, this will enable me to acquire skills to meet the required duties and responsibilities when attending to patients (Dewing, McCormack & McCance, 2021). For instance, I will respond to the patient's needs, understand their situation and assist them in getting better. The impact of these components will enhance my nursing practice in terms of the professionalism required in this field. Also, it will help me gain experience when attending to patients with different conditions.

Three principal research methodologies can be used in nursing: mixed methods, qualitative and quantitative research. Mixed methods research is usually where the researcher obtains and analyzes data by incorporating quantitative and qualitative methods in a study. Qualitative research is where data is gathered and analyzed for statistical analysis (Dewing, McCormack & McCance, 2021). Also, it can be used in nursing to assist researchers in understanding the challenges and promoters to recruitment and withholding of patients in healthcare facilities. Quantitative research is described as gathering and analyzing numerical data and is commonly used in natural and social sciences.

Moreover, it can provide guideline information to assist researchers in choosing patients to interview for a study. Research methodologies have assisted me in gaining critical knowledge while making clinical decisions in a healthcare surrounding (Dewing, McCormack & McCance, 2021). Furthermore, I have acquired the necessary education to help me in enhancing my nursing skills for better healthcare delivery. Also, the impact of this knowledge is that it will guide me to elevate and have a credible nursing practice.

The relationship between research, theory, and evidence-based practice is currently more precise since using analysis in the nursing profession will promote patient care and practice. Therefore, it can assist in the provision of safe and affordable healthcare to patients. An essential characteristic of research, theory, and evidence-based practice are that EBP reports for the patient's needs regarding the type of mediation (Kaakinen et al., 2018). Also, as a nurse, I have learned that the leading edge of sources of evidence is a theory, research, and theory-based research data. Besides, it will equip me with the necessary skills to solve care delivery problems in healthcare facilities. For instance, I will identify the patients who are not receiving clinical care in our facility and come up with ways to provide them with the care they need. In addition, the impact of this knowledge will enhance my abilities in helping patients receive essential care to promote their wellness.

The evidence-based solution I propose for my facility is infection control to prevent patients from acquiring infections from hospitals. What other information supports evidence-based practice relating to infection control and research? Information regarding preventive steps in infection control is established on (RCT) randomized controlled trials. However, RCTs are usually expensive than other measures. Nurses play a vital part in assisting patients in preventing illness by complying with evidence-based practice (Horntvedt et al., 2018). In addition, I have realized that as a nurse keeping a healthcare facility clean is significant in preventing hospital-acquired infections. Therefore, this has enhanced my skills to promote hygiene when attending to patients in a medical facility. For example, when a patient with a wound infection comes to be treated at our facility, I should observe hygiene to prevent the patient from getting another disease. This knowledge has impacted my nursing practice by ensuring I learn the required hygiene measures to be applied to patients.
