Business continuity functions under three elements, which are recovery, resilience, and contingency. Testing the three elements is the core of testing business continuity in disaster management process. Hence, a business’s core functions and operations depend on the systems to withstand any disaster.

Disaster recovery is a cloud-based service that assists organizations, individuals, and businesses securely recover data in a disaster (Tamimi et al., 2019). Disaster recovery also provides remote access to secure computer systems. The cloud system of recovery limits loss of data and promotes the functionality of IT infrastructure after disasters. The disasters range from natural disasters to cyber-attacks.

Software infrastructure is the system organization that ensures functions a user or an organization needs are accessible (Abbasi et al., 2019). The organization facilitates interaction in functionality systems. Functionality of the system happens through interaction between the user, the environment, and the software designing principles. Moreover, future changes of the software fall under the aspects of software architecture.

SOA stands for Service Oriented Architecture. Service-Oriented Architecture is built based on computer engineering methods or principles (Niknejad et al., 2020). Service-Oriented Architecture offers an advance in architectural methods that guarantee functionality of enterprise systems. SOA offers a layer of translation and management in cloud architecture. The function of SOA in clouding is to remove barriers that users face in accessing specific services.
