Usability evaluation is an important segment in the development of a product. Usability refers to how well a certain product meets the needs of an individual. A product is considered to be successful when it properly meets the needs of a user. Usability is therefore a very important aspect in the determination of how successful a product is. There are different methods in the analysis of the usability of a product. Usability testing tends to give both the qualitative and quantitative nature of a product. Here the product is tested in real-time and a sample of people selected tests on the effectiveness of the product. Feedback obtained from these people is then used to improve the product. This is an advantage of usability testing as it takes place in real-time scenarios. The data obtained about the product has higher accuracy. Also, testing is achieved by; channeling software, and even a lab test on usability may be done. This tends to yield results that can be relied on upon completion of the review.
