Although integrating cross-disciplinary subjects with differentiation is an essential instructional strategy for students, some obstacles make it hard for it to occur. One of the biggest obstacles that hinder the achievement of integration is lack of time since teachers have got so much course work going on; hence creating time to develop lesson extensions is too much for them. According to Lunsford (2017), classrooms have changed over the last few years and now have diverse students with varying skill levels, making it hard for teachers to reach every student's learning needs. While The diversity of learning skills is beneficial to students, their learning needs will not be met if they are taught the same way. In learning, the more connections the mind of a student makes, the better it is to learn and retain information. Therefore, integrating cross-disciplinary subjects with differentiation provides lessons that fit the student's interests in learning hence I am super confident with it.
