Some of the research publications in the course theorised that governance and control practices are influenced by the institutional corporate governance setting in specific countries. Examples include the board independence norm (BIN), the Beyond budgeting (BB) model, the Balanced scorecard (BSC), and Economic value added (EVA).
Use two of the above-mentioned control practices to discuss how the corporate governance system could influence the diffusion, design, and use of such practices.
