Share your experience with an operating system or different operating systems (OS). Have you used Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Vista, or Windows 10? Have you used the Mac OS? How did you like the OS system(s), and when was the last time you executed an OS update on your computer (laptop or desktop)? What Internet security software do you have installed on your computer (laptop/desktop) and do you have your computer’s Internet security software setup to receive important security updates?

I have both a Mac laptop and a Dell PC so I am pretty familiar with both Windows 10 and Mac OS systems. I would say that I like Windows software more than Mac because often on Mac when I'm trying to do a task I get pop-ups that say what I'm doing may not be compatible with the Mac system. Although both Windows and Mac are good in their own ways, I feel like more can be done with Windows software. I actually recently updated my Mac probably in the last couple of weeks. I updated my laptop because some of the photos I was trying to access wouldn't open properly and the old software that I was using wasn't running as effectively as I thought it would. I have Malware protection and Avast virus scan downloaded on my computer so I am aware if there is any virus that is found on my laptop or desktop. I feel like these programs are a necessity for anyone that owns technology as it can warn you when a virus is on your computer so proper action can be taken to do a computer scan and attempt to remove whatever virus is present on the computer.

From a computer science perspective, an operating system (OS) connects computer hardware components and the user by acting as an interface. I had a great experience with Windows 10 for several reasons. First, I liked Windows 10 because it is a lighter and faster operating system due to improved speed that brings smoother operations (Halsey, 2015). Secondly, I liked Windows 10 because of its increased security via excellent virus protection (Halsey, 2015). For example, Windows 10 has improved applications that prevent my laptop from viruses. The last time is executed an OS update on my laptop was six months ago.
I have also installed Kaspersky Anti-Virus as Internet security software on my laptop. I have selected this software because it has a light load during scans. The antivirus also has new stalkerware protection and excellent malware protection (Bergmann, 2020). Since I am using Windows 10 Operating System, I have learned that Kaspersky matches well with it. Lastly, I have also set up the Kaspersky antivirus (internet security software) to receive important updates to ensure it detects new viruses and Trojans that may attack my laptop. The setup ensures that the antivirus updates itself by default to prevent cyber attacks. However, I also initiate the set up for updates to ensure it is security-centric.

I am delighted that you have experienced both Mac OS and Windows 10 systems. Based on their performance, I agree that Windows 10 is better than Mac OS. For example, Windows 10 has excellent virus protection, high speed, and an excellent start menu. Windows 10 is also compatible with many applications, thus reducing pop-ups on the computer. I also agree that updating the OS within weeks or months is excellent. Your choice for internet security software is excellent because Avast virus scan and Malware protection prevent cyberattacks. They identify viruses and Trojans to ensure the user scans the computer, thus taking necessary security protocols to protect data and information in the computer.
