Scenario 3
Based on the analysis, I believe that the court should grant the hospital a go ahead to perform the blood transfusion operation. According to Pozgar (2020), a patient consent before any procedure is vital for any legal process, but it is the legal duty of a physician as per the law and state that when the life is at stake, the medical practitioner should perform the operation to save the patient’s life. Therefore, legally the physicians will not be liable to the court since they will be saving Ms. Fusal's life. Thus, the hospital should be given a right to treat the patient since it will be the right and legal thing to do in this case. I align with the hospital's representative who supported the blood transfusion operation since the representative had more valid points than the one doing the same while representing Ms. Fusal. The court should order the blood transfusion based on the ruling of the Application of President & Directors of Georgetown. When the judge determined how urgent and life-threatening the scenario was, he ordered the transfusion to happen since it would save a life.
