Senator Bob Casey Jr is a current United States senator from Pennsylvania, serving under the Democratic Party. He has been in office since 2007, with the current term ending on 3^rd January 2025. In November 2018, he contested the Pennsylvanian Senate seat once more. He won, thereby making him the first senator from the state to win three consecutive terms and six statewide Pennsylvania elections (Ballotpedia, 2021). Before becoming the senator, he served as Pennsylvania state Treasurer for two years, between 2005 to 2007. This was his next appointment after serving the country as the Auditor General from 1997 to 2005. He is one of the renowned and longest-serving senators affiliated with the Roman Catholic church from an early age. He graduated from Holy Cross Catholic college in 1982 and later pursued his law degree from the Catholic University of America, graduating in 1988.

Currently, in the 116^th congress, the senator is the Special Committee on Aging chairperson. He helps in developing policies that can efficiently support older Americans and people with disabilities (Senate.gov, 2021). Through his service, he has been one of his key agendas, focusing on transforming the lives of many aging Americans. Senator Casey is a loyal Democrat depicted in his voting pattern in specific significant legislations. For instance, he voted in support of the bill towards blocking the border wall as an emergency declaration (Ballotpedia, 2021). This motion passed and managed to block President Trump’s unconstitutional move of bypassing congress and allocating more funds towards the Mexican border wall project. The senator sponsor bills mainly on health, agricultural food security, taxation, social welfare, education, families, employment, and law enforcement (GovTrack, 2021). Therefore, he a key and transformative leader with an American interest at hand and seeks to improve the current status quo of the critical community challenges.

Senator Casey is passionate about improving the livelihood of aging Americans. Through his position as the chairperson of the senior committee, he is in the best place of establishing and implementing effective strategies for the public. Most Americans are currently facing healthcare issues. The worst-hit are the poor, elderly, and those living with disabilities. From the senator’s records, most of his sponsored bills are on health, representing a significant 38% of his total sponsored bills (GovTrack, 2021). This is followed by taxation and social welfare motions. Therefore, his bills are transformational and are focused on the interest of all Americans. Moreover, his focus on education and employment influences the future of many Americans who are still jobless or currently in school. If these bills go through, there is a promised change in the current education and job sectors. Also, his interest in Mexican immigration and border disputes shows his compassion and passion for maintaining effective regional cooperation with neighboring countries.
