Criteria: Points A. Introduction: Identifies the significance of the Magnet Culture and Journey in today's healthcare environment with support from the literature to include a brief discussion on: 1. Introduction of topic/Background for Magnet Recognition Program 2. The Magnet Model as a framework for excellence in nursing 25 points B. Synthesize findings from the current literature to support the Application of Nursing Theory to Practice 1. Discuss the importance of a Nursing Theory Framework for nursing practice and patient health outcomes. 2. How would you incorporate the Self-Care Deficit Theory of Dorothy Orem's to the Nursing Theory Framework? 15 points C. Application of Nursing Theory to Practice: Select a Magnet Hospital and describe the following: 1. What steps or processes were used by the hospital to incorporate nursing theory as a framework to guide nursing practice? 20 points D. Conclusion: Summarize key points, draw conclusions and present new insights to include: 1. How the magnet journey will impact the nursing profession? 20 points E.
