I will explain the following instructions in our next session. The instructions for your response paper (FINAL PAPER) are as follows: 1. Please read all the articles for your final response paper, and choose the one that you understand fully, can disagree with and can ask relevant questions about. Please do not do any outside research for these articles--I want you to focus as much as possible on what the particular authors are saying about the issue, and how they are saying it. If you do outside research, your response will be full of red herrings. 2. You need to figure out facts and opinions, stereotypes and biases, the author's tone, logical fallacies, text structure, literary devices etc. and critically analyze all these different components. Additionally, you must arrange the paragraphs with proper topic sentences and supporting details. For example, if you want to write about the stereotypes that the story has presented, you can write in the first sentence of the paragraph, this story has presented different ___ based stereotypes underlying in the society during the__ time. Then you can give examples of the stereotypes you could figure out as your supporting details. 3. Use quotations wisely. Follow the way the in-text is done in the sample response paper. 4. The word limit of the paper is maximum 1000 words. 5. The font size should be 12, line spacing Double spaced and use Times New Roman. I will cut marks if you do not follow this criteria. 6. It will carry 20% of your grade. 7. The similarity index for this assignment must not exceed 10%. 8. The deadline for this paper is on the 25th August, 2021.
