TOTAL POSSIBLE POINTS = 100

Your group must select a real-world organization that is explicitly taking action to engage DEI strategic goals. This can be taking any form large or small – the org just needs to 1) have stated DEI is a goal and 2) be doing something to achieve it. At the end of the project, you should be able to relate course concepts and theories to understand, evaluate, and propose change to the company’s initiatives. Choose your organization carefully. Ask yourself….

You can choose an organization a group member is a part of, but please

talk to me first!!

 If there are any problems within a team that cannot be resolved, I must be notified early on.

I am also happy to (and strongly encourage you to) discuss the various stages of this project before the due dates.

ALL SUBMISSION WILL BE IN THE FORM OF A PPT DECK.

SUBMISSION #1

DUE by 11:59 pm JULY 16, 2021 (25 possible points). This will be a PPT deck describing the organization you selected and a high-level review of the DEI situation. Each of the bullet points is a slide for a total of 5 slides.

• What does this organization do?
• What is the current strategy or goal – what made you pick them?
• What are they currently doing to achieve this goal?
• Take a look forward in through the syllabus and identify one area that you think is especially relevant to this issue. Give specific reasons why you think this.
  • You can chat with me to figure this out
• Submit an example article that you will use to help understand the problem.
• This first submission is meant to be high-level summary of the current state of affairs.

SUBMSSION #2

Power Point Due on AUG 13, 2021 (75 possible points: 65 for content + 10 presentation). You must conduct a program evaluation using specific course concepts and best practices. I expect to see a deep knowledge of readings and lecture videos applied throughout.  

• Brief summary of background and current state of affairs (recap of Submission 1)
• Critical evaluation of their current state of affairs using multiple course concepts.
• Outline specific recommendations for future programs and goal achievement
• MAKE SURE YOU CAN SUPPORT ALL IDEAS WITH CONTENT WE HAVE LEARNED IN CLASS!!
