Your essay should include a discussion of at least three historical facts concerning the adoption of the aforementioned documents and why you believe it is important for criminal justice professionals to know about a particular issue. You are expected to discuss all three historic documents rather than limiting yourself to just one or two. Please attribute any ideas that are not your own by indicating the author in parenthesis, ex. (Jones), following a particular sentence. If the author is unavailable, indicate the title of the article, ex., “Declaration of Independence: A History.” You should use a minimum of three other research sources outside of the founding documents. Be sure to use APA format for this paper, including double-spaced text, 12-point font size, and 1” margins. A reference list is required.
