Chloroplasts and mitochondria do not work together knowingly. However, the glucose and oxygen produced by in the chloroplasts are required by the mitochondria in order to carry out aerobic cellular respiration. The carbon dioxide produced by aerobic cellular respiration in the mitochondra is required by plants for photosynthesis.
