Ozark is a TV show that revolves around a family who gets involved with a Mexican drug cartel. The family communication it contains is "Family Communication is Involuntary". On page 320, it states, "You have the freedom to choose friends and dating partners, but you can't choose your parents, siblings, or other relatives. Even if you take the drastic step of cutting off communication with some relatives, their influence is likely to persist like the phantom pain from a missing limb." An example from the movie was when the daughter wanted to get emancipated from the parents. Even though the daughter hired a lawyer and ran away, the mother was always there watching over her and protected her from any harm. Eventually few days later, the daughter decided she wanted to go back home and no longer filed for emancipation. This proves that no matter what you do,  your family will always accept you and love you unconditionally.
