Question 1: Describe the role of the governing board in a healthcare facility. Within your discussion, include the relationship of the Board to the medical staff and to the Chief Executive Officer (Administrator). Discuss why this structure is effective or not effective. 

Question 2: As director of the HIM department, you understand that a local union is attempting to organize the hospital employees into their local union. The management team meeting is called for instruction on issues of unfair labor practices on the part of management. List and discuss four (4) unfair practices that the managers must not participate in when there is an impending union organization.

Question 3: Define and explain the concept of exempt and nonexempt employees. Discuss the difference between the two types of employees. If you had a choice how would you like to be classified and why?
