Reflective Writing: Essay 1 Reflection and Essay 2

One of the difficulties of a short term - perhaps the biggest difficulty - is the amount of work that has to be done in a relatively short time frame. By now we've had two drafts of Essay #1, and you are working on the first draft of Essay #2. This is a good time to stop and reflect on your writing process. In a paragraph of no less than ten sentences (you are welcome to write more than this), answer the following questions:

What is going well for you at this point?

What do you think has been your biggest success in this course?

Where do you see improvement in your writing or your composing practices?

What do you see as the area or areas where you need the most improvement?

If you could go back and complete another draft of Essay #1, what would you do differently?

Having gone through the process of composing and revising Essay #2, what lessons can you take with you into Essay #2?

Expert Solution

At this point while being in English 121 for the third time. I`m learning more about writing especially since. I thought I knew what to expect hopefully this is the last go round and things are retaining more in my learning process. Therefore my writing has expanded as well as how I use tone in exercises. I`m learning that there is much more to the English language than good spelling and grammar. My biggest success in this course would be to pass and we won`t know that until next week. So as of right now I don`t have a success story to celebrate in this course right now. I need improvement on writing a good thesis statement for some reason I can never get to the point in my writing. Probably since I`m such an informative person I get lost in the point of the essay. I would do more research and really a way to express an articulated thesis and argue harder than I did in Essay #1. Essay 2 is being revised and still in the making process I`m taking my time with this one. I`ve learned that revision and editing as much as you can will get you the polished final copy.
