2)Select 3 articles, at least one must be from a scientific journal, to read on the topic.

3)Write a 1/2 page summary on each article. Be sure to include a citations of the source in APA format and reference page in APA format.

Below are some of the things we have completed thus far in this class to give you an idea on choosing the SCIENCE TOPIC :

Earth System’s 4 spheres & their functions • Formation of the solar system • Characteristics of minerals • Identifying properties of minerals, i.e. cleavage, luster, hardness, etc. • Rock Types and how they are each formed • Particles of atoms, their charges, locations, and functions • Elements v. compounds v. mixtures • Different types of plates; all things related to plate tectonics • How, where, and why of earthquakes, along with terms associated with earthquakes (waves, epicenter, focus, etc) • Types of volcanoes, lava flows, and formation of magma • Mountain formation & types • Emergent vs. submergent coastlines • Desert types, dune formation, desertification, etc
